A claim without independent verification isn't science. It's marketing.
The research commitment behind RnA ReSet begins where every clinical question begins: with observation. Dr. Carolyn Dean MD ND has been documenting what the body needs at the cellular level for more than 50 years. Those observations generate questions. Research formalizes the answers: through independent university scientists, registered protocols, peer-reviewed publication, and open access to findings that anyone can read. The scope of that commitment covers the full Completement Formula system, every product category and every health domain these formulas are designed to support.
The research questions RnA ReSet pursues span the full Completement Formula system, because cellular health is not a single-nutrient story. These four domains reflect the breadth of what the body requires, and the scope of what independent research is designed to answer.
Research Domain 01
The cellular mechanisms underlying sustained energy and restorative sleep are closely related. ATP production, the fundamental process powering every cell, requires a complete mineral foundation active across more than 1,000 enzymatic pathways. The inhibitory neurotransmitter systems that govern the transition from wakefulness to deep rest depend on that same foundational mineral status. Research in this domain examines how bioavailable mineral sufficiency, measured as the cellular rather than the bound fraction, supports the full 24-hour cycle of energy production and recovery.
Research Domain 02
Muscle contraction and relaxation are governed by the electrolyte balance within the excitation-contraction coupling process. Hydration at the cellular level, power output, and the speed of tissue recovery after exertion all reflect the bioavailable mineral status of the body. Research in this domain examines how picometer mineral delivery supports the structure and function of muscle and connective tissue in athletes and active individuals, with findings that have been independently verified through pre-registered clinical trial and published in peer-reviewed literature.
Research Domain 03
The nervous system is among the most nutrient-dependent systems in the body. Specific vitamin cofactors function across energy production, DNA and RNA synthesis, methylation, and the synthesis of neurochemicals and signaling molecules. Essential fatty acids, alongside key trace minerals, each play documented roles in the structural and functional integrity of neural tissue. Research in this domain explores how formulation form matters as much as dose, and how these nutrients, in forms the body recognizes and can use, support the structure and function of the nervous system across the full lifespan.
Research Domain 04
The body's capacity to absorb and use key nutrients changes meaningfully with age. Markers associated with cellular aging, including telomere integrity and inflammatory pathways, are influenced by the nutritional status of cells, particularly through the synergistic relationship between foundational minerals, B vitamin cofactors, fat-soluble vitamins, essential fatty acids, and antioxidant nutrients. Research into cellular aging examines how complete nutrient sufficiency across the whole formula system, not isolated supplementation of any single nutrient, supports the structure and function of cells across the full lifespan.

The 2020 Nutrients clinical trial, "Circulating Ionized Magnesium as a Measure of Supplement Bioavailability," is the most formally published example of the research standard RnA ReSet applies. Led by Dr. Taylor C. Wallace of George Mason University, with researchers from Purdue, Indiana University Bloomington, and Case Western Reserve, the study measured ionized magnesium in fresh whole blood after ReMag® supplementation. The findings were statistically significant, publicly registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04139928), and published in full, including methodology, limitations, and author conflicts of interest. This is the standard: independent researchers, registered protocol, peer-reviewed journal, open access.
What a Research Commitment Makes Possible
What a Research Commitment Makes Possible
The 2020 clinical trial was the first formally published answer. What it opened for each audience is larger than any single study.
For Athletes and Coaches
Compliance protection requires two things: lot-by-lot banned substance verification (NSF Certified for Sport®) and a published evidence base for the absorption science behind the supplement. RnA ReSet Completement Formulas carry both. The certification that keeps athletes eligible, and the peer-reviewed research that supports the performance conversation with coaches, athletic trainers, and sports medicine professionals.
For Healthcare Practitioners
Recommending a supplement to a patient is a clinical decision. That decision is defensible when it is backed by a publishable citation, a registered protocol, open-access methodology, and a manufacturer with no role in the design, analysis, or interpretation of the research. The RnA ReSet research commitment provides that foundation. The Partner Program provides the integration framework for practices that hold supplementation to the same evidence standard.
For Every Individual
The supplement market runs on claims. Research runs on independent verification. When a formula you take has been studied by scientists who have no stake in the outcome, published in a peer-reviewed journal, and made publicly available to anyone who wants to read it, that is a different kind of confidence. That is what RnA ReSet research is for.
Dr. Carolyn Dean MD ND has long held that the most meaningful research happens at the community level, where practitioners know their populations and observe patterns over time. The RnA ReSet® Community Case Study program invites Partner healthcare professionals to conduct structured, practitioner-led observations within their patient communities, building the evidence base one community at a time.
Every research priority at RnA ReSet begins from the same place Dr. Dean began 50 years ago: cellular structure and function. The question is never which claim needs support. The question is always what does the body actually need at the cellular level, and does the evidence confirm that the formula delivers it? That approach means the research scope follows the clinical observation, not the marketing calendar. It means investing in biomarker science, in absorption methodology, in the nutrient interaction questions that single-nutrient studies were never designed to answer. And it means every finding, positive or limiting, gets published, because the commitment is to the science, not to a predetermined conclusion.
The RnA ReSet® Partner Program brings healthcare professionals into the research conversation, where clinical observation shapes formulation decisions and study priorities. Partners gain access to research updates, the formulation reasoning behind every product, and the clinical context that connects patient care to cellular science.
For more than 45 years, Carolyn Dean MD ND was observing, documenting, and writing about what cellular health requires: in magnesium, in B vitamins, in trace minerals, in the nutrient interaction science the supplement industry was not yet asking about. She was identifying the connection between magnesium status and sleep before sleep research made it a familiar topic. She was writing about epigenetic aging, telomere integrity, and the anti-inflammatory synergy between omega-3s, vitamin D, and magnesium before those terms entered mainstream health conversation. The research commitment behind RnA ReSet is the institutional expression of 50 years of questions that clinical observation generated and that formal science is now beginning to formally answer. The 2020 Nutrients clinical trial is the most formally published single example of that commitment: independent researchers, registered protocol, open-access findings. What it verified, at the cellular level, is what patients had been experiencing for decades. That the form of a mineral determines whether it actually reaches the cell. That is the standard Dr. Dean applies to every formula in the Completement system. Not whether a nutrient is present. Whether it arrives where the body needs it.
